Portugal at the FIA World Rally-Raid Championship

30 novembro 2023

In 2024, Portugal will once again have a race entered in the FIA World Rally-Raid Championship, after the most recent editions of the competition took place in Spain, more specifically in Andalusia for two years, with the Andalusia Rally. The event will be part of the FIM World Rally Raid Championship as well as the FIA World Rally Raid Championship, thus forming part of the W2RC programme designed by ASO - the promoter of the championship, thus bringing together motorbikes and cars in the same races. Both the big names in motorbikes and cars are expected to take part, both in terms of teams and riders, and a large caravan of European riders who know the terrain is expected to join them.

The race is organised by the Automóvel Club de Portugal, which is already working on the design and conception of the race. This edition will be based in the city of Grândola and will take place from 2 to 7 April 2024, with the first day dedicated to the usual formalities, the second to the prologue and the rest to special stages in Portugal and Spain.
