The penultimate round of the FIA World Rally-Raid Championship came to an end in Morocco, with the city of Zagora crowning Seth Quintero as the overall winner, while the Portuguese duo João Ferreira and Filipe Palmeiro finished in 2nd place, 4m23s behind the winner, with another Toyota Hilux completing the podium, with Henk Lategan finishing just 19 seconds behind João Ferreira, who achieved his best-ever result in the Moroccan event. With only one round remaining before the end of the championship, Abu Dhabi from November 22 to 27, American Seth Quintero leads the standings with 134 points, followed by Sébastien Loeb, who failed to finish the Morocco round, while Nasser Al-Attiyah is in 3rd place and João Ferreira is 4th, ahead of Henk Lategan.

But in the FIA World Rally-Raid Championship, there was a Portuguese duo that shone at another level, with Alexandre Pinto and Bernardo Oliveira in a Taurus completely dominating the Challenger category, strengthening their championship lead in the class, after being crowned SSV World Champions last season. While the future of Dakar 2027 is still being discussed, with plans to move further away from potential conflict zones in the Middle East, the current championship will conclude in a month and a half in Abu Dhabi, with the leading contenders still having a say in the battle for the 2026 title. In Morocco, the 4th round of the championship, João Ferreira shone with a fantastic performance and stage victories, sending very positive signals for his future with Toyota.
