The bp Ultimate Rally-Raid Portugal, part of the World Rally-Raid Championship (W2RC), has been awarded 3-Star Environmental Accreditation by the International Automobile Federation (FIA), the highest level of environmental recognition awarded by the federation. This certification, based on the international standard ISO 14001, was awarded after an external audit carried out during the event in September, making it the first event in this championship to reach this level and setting a new benchmark in international motor sport.
This achievement reinforces the Automobile Club of Portugal's (ACP) leadership in promoting sustainable practices. The club, as an organisation, has also just received the FIA's 3-Star Environmental Accreditation, positioning itself among the most environmentally responsible mobility entities globally.
This double recognition adds to that previously achieved by the Vodafone Rally de Portugal, which since 2017 has consistently maintained the same level of environmental excellence, being considered an international benchmark and distinguished by the International Olympic Committee as an exemplary case of sustainability in motor sport.
