The National Republican Guard (GNR) will deploy, between 23 and 28 September, a security operation to maintain public order and regulate traffic, ensuring that the bp Ultimate Rally Raid Portugal takes place in total safety.
The event, organized by the Automóvel Club de Portugal (ACP), is part of the World Rally-Raid Championship (W2RC). The timed stages will cross the districts of Beja, Évora, Portalegre, Setúbal, and Santarém, with liaison sections running through the Lisbon region.
The GNR’s operation aims to guarantee the protection of the public and competitors, while ensuring smooth traffic circulation on the main access roads to the spectator zones.
In this context, the GNR stresses the importance of watching the race only in authorized zones, respecting the instructions of officers on duty, and protecting the environment. It also recommends parking only in designated areas, avoiding municipal and national roads, and keeping spectator areas clean. Finally, the institution reminds everyone that alcoholic beverages must not be consumed before driving.
