João Ferreira and Filipe Palmeiro (MINI) won the Portuguese Off-Road Championship race in bp Ultimate Rally-Raid Portugal, which finished after Thursday's stage.
The young MINI driver, national champion in 2022, returned to the championship in top form and is preparing to fight for a new title this year. He is also fighting for the podium in the FIA World Rally-Raid Championship (W2RC), but finished the national competition ahead of João Dias and João Miranda, who were leading after the first stage on Wednesday.
The Can-Am driver lost time when he had to repair a wheel and duly finished second in the national championship and topped the T3 standings.
Alexandre Pinto and Bernardo Oliveira rounded off the CPTT podium in another Can-Am and finished just ahead of the national T3 champion Armindo Araújo and his co-driver Pedro Ré.
Edgar Condenso and Nuno Silva topped the T1 category in a Ford Ranger, while João Monteiro and Nuno Morais (Can-Am) won the T4 class and are still fighting for the W2RC’s SSV category win.
Both Tiago Reis and João Ramos, who had dominated the opening race, retired their two Toyota Hilux T1+ machines.
