The Rallye du Maroc determined the titles of the World Rally-Raid Championship (W2RC), and Nasser Al-Attiyah secured his third consecutive championship in the African event, with a victorious debut driving the new Dacia. Ross Branch (Hero) claimed the top title in the motorcycle category.
Nasser Al-Attiyah and Edourd Boulanger led the new Dacia to victory in the Rallye du Maroc, becoming World Rally-Raid Champions in the car category. This marks the Qatari driver's third consecutive title in the W2RC. Yazeed Al-Rajhi and Timo Gottschalk (Toyota), who arrived in Morocco in direct contention with the Dacia duo, finished in third place in the Moroccan sands and became the world vice-champions, ahead of another Toyota duo, Lucas Moraes and Armand Monleon. The MINI/X-Raid team placed Guillaume de Mevius in second place in Morocco, but Toyota secured its third consecutive constructors' title.
Lithuanian Rokas Baciuska (Can-Am) became the world champion in the Challenger category, while Saudi Arabia’s Yasir Seaidan (Can-Am) achieved the same in the SSV category, with a narrow two-point lead over Ecuadorian Sebastian Guayasamin (Can-Am)!

In the motorcycle category, Australian Daniel Sanders (KTM) won the Rallye du Maroc, but Ross Branch (Hero) celebrated his first W2RC title. The Botswanan rider finished the championship ahead of Adrien Van Beveren (Honda) and the winner of the bp Ultimate Rally-Raid Portugal, Toscha Schareina (Honda). The official Honda team, led by Portuguese Ruben Faria, secured the constructors' title in the FIM competition.
South African Bradley Cox (Rally2), Polish rider Konrad Dabrowski (Junior), Chilean John Medina Salazar (Rally3), Argentine Manuel Andujar (Quads), and Sebastian Urquia (Senior) also earned their respective titles.
It’s worth noting that the World Rally-Raid Championship made its debut in Portugal last April with the bp Ultimate Rally-Raid Portugal. The Automóvel Club de Portugal’s event will remain on the calendar for 2025, taking place from September 22 to 28.
